| Old roses, as well as some of the English Roses
of David Austin sometimes tend to look a little bit messy and disorderly.
In her famous garden at Sissinghurst Castle Vita Sackville West
has just for this purpose created round structures, ca. 150 cm high
and made from willow to lend those roses structure and support.
A similar end is pursued by this unusual rose pillar from Charleston,
South Carolina, where the famous Noisette Roses originated in 1819.
The well-devised arrangement of its steel bands will induce roses
to produce an abundance of young shoots with sumptous blossoms to
follow. The delicate, fragrant blossoms are at the same time supported
and structured in a sensible manner.
Charleston is available in two sizes. The "Garden" height
of 7'7'' or at 9'10'' for the large Public Garden.
Structure made from 3.15'' / 8 cm steel tubing and 0.79'' / 2 cm
steel-bands. Hot-dip galvanized and powder coated black. Must be
firmly secured to the ground using a large steel anchor (provided)
to be put into concrete.
